CrossFit is for everyone, regardless of age or ability.
I was first attracted to CrossFit in 2012 when my second daughter was 1 yr old. As a mom of two small children, I was struggling to make time in my day to take care of my own health, and CrossFit offered me a chance to have a structured hour long class (where I could walk in, do the work, walk out), get the most out of my workout time, and be back home taking care of my children before they were even out of bed each morning. I was no stranger to fitness, as I was a high school and collegiate basketball athlete in my younger years. But because of CrossFit, I can easily say I am at my best level of fitness at age 40. CrossFit has been one of the best and most positive decisions I’ve made for myself, and it has become a passion of mine to increase my ability within this sport, and to help others pursue and achieve their personal fitness goals as well.
I grew up on a ranch outside of Belt, Montana and am fortunate to have lots of amazing family in the Great Falls area. I also spent many years living in Colorado, and it was in college there when I became fascinated with human performance and movement. In the allied health profession of Athletic Training, I’ve been blessed with many unique and incredible opportunities which include working as Medical Staff for the ESPN X Games (both national and international events), the ESPN Great Outdoor Games, and a staff Athletic Trainer for the Montana State University Bobcats. I am now honored to have my own business, True North Athletic Therapy, located inside RPP Fitness. It’s a perfect marriage between my two passions of treating orthopedic injuries, improving human movement and CrossFit.
